Well prepared and fairly conducted competitions are the best guarantee of optimal solutions from the conceptual, design, ecological, economic and technical viewpoints. To this end, in addition to the regulations known as SIA 142 and SIA 143, the SIA provides downloads of the following guidelines. SIA checking of competitions
Each year the SIA's Competitions Committee checks over 100 competitions for their compliance with the provisions set out in regulations SIA 142 and SIA 143. This service is free of charge, provides competition organisers with legal security and guarantees participants a fair competition procedure. Competitions that comply with SIA rules are awarded a seal, which is displayed on their title page. On KONKURADO too, competitions' compliance with the rules will be signalled by a seal.
Statistics on competition rules
The Foundation also plans to publish analyses of Swiss competition rules here on this website. As soon as the competition database KONKURADO has compiled robust, meaningful data, we will publish them here. So please bear with us and watch this space!
